Position Overview
The customer service representative working as a cashier must be able to process several customers at once and must be able to work very quickly. The worker must be familiar with the POS system and all of the products.
Essential Job Functions
• Dealing with customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Providing legendary customer service and working as a team
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, utensils and refrigeration equipment
• Assists in food prep and packing assignments during off-peak periods as needed
• Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of inventory and food
• Handles, stores and rotates all products properly
• Maintains the highest level of standards for all product preparation
• Assisting in opening/ and or closing of the café
• Stock the cold beverage fridge, boxes, and bags as needed
• Slicing bread and working knowledge of different types of bread
• Taking orders on the phone and in person and filling them/placing in the right area
• Answering the phone
• Cleaning the outdoor tables
• Assisting any other sections when needed
• Clean/wash the machinery before closing
Requirements
• Multi-tasking
• Be punctual, reliable and work in a fast paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Takes direction well
• Be able to work in a standing position for entire shift
• Required to work early mornings, late afternoons, weekends and holidays
• Heavy lifting (big cakes, heavy trays, big pails, bread slicer)
• Must have a presentable appearance and meat company grooming standards.
• High School Diploma and previous CSR experience
• Maintaining Sarema's high standards for product freshness and sanitation
• Able to adapt to change and switch stations/counters quickly
Other Skills/Abilities
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivating and ability to meet short deadlines (time management)
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to work in a fast paced environment
• Food knowledge and open to critique
• Maintains continuous communication with other staff functions (i.e.. Hotfoot, cash, etc.) during peak business hours
