RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
  1. To prepare and organize food for outlets operating according to standard recipes
  2. Report to work complying to all appearance standards
  3. Be aware of your work schedule, be punctual and reliable and follow punch in and punch out procedures
  4. Follow clean as you go as well as company food safety policies/HACCP
  5. Check par stock levels and product quantity to ensure efficient food production throughout the shift on a daily basis
  6. To report any concerns with product, equipment or associate performance to management
  7. To assist Sous Chefs in implementing new systems (example; a new safety plan) or menu change

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  1. Prepare mise en place according to production charts
  2. Check assigned station for cleanliness and to ensure all products are present
  3. Clean and organize station and fridges in immediate work area, fill in daily fridge temperature logs
  4. Follow First in and First out inventory storage standards
  5. Communicate any missing items from the menu to the wait staff
  6. Prepare food only as per requisition, BEO or POS cheque
  7. Have all mise en place available and check for quality before service time in order to prepare all items you are responsible for and check other line Cooks
  8. All prepared food should meet the requirements of Department Standard according to the Standard recipes
  9. Maintain a clean working station throughout the shift and ensure the station is left clean at the end of your shift for your Team member
  10. Ensure information is passed on from one shift to another regarding par levels and health and safety issues.
 
  1. High School Diploma required
  2. Certified food Handler
  3. Food safety/sanitation required
  4. WHMIS training an asset
  5. Proper knife handling skills
  6. Ability to work in high temperature for up to 8 hours
  7. Team player/self starter
  8. Ability to stand on your feet for long period of time (8 hours)
